in my knowledge (whatever the little or lesser than quantum that I have) i do not recall anywhere that "the cow" has any significance over any other animal.

I have a couple of questions actually... contend me if you will

1. Is Buddhism a religion (a.k.a Islam, Christianity) or a philosophy ?

2. Does the "philosophy" (if it's so as per the first answer) states that we should not kill the "cows" ?

3. Why is it only the cow? .. are the others not considered not worthy of dying for?

4. Where does it say "exactly" that we should not kill "cows" on either the philosophy or the religion ?
