There will be no room for the LTTE to set up their bases in Kerala, said K.S. Jangpangi, the Kerala Additional Director General of Police (North).
"We are alive to such a possibility but the Tamil tigers will not be allowed to establish their base camps anywhere along the Kerala coast," said the senior Policeman.
Mr. Jangpangi was responding to reports that the LTTE is shifting its operations to Kerala from the neighbouring Tamil Nadu state following intensified surveillance by the Navy and the Coast Guard.
Rejecting these statements, he said that Kerala's waters will not become LTTE's playground at whatever cost and that Kerala Police were probing whether a consignment of industrial grade detonators recovered from a bus-stand in Thrissur recently were meant for the LTTE.
