well, my first PC was (actually there was 2 PC's based of same processor gift from my uncle in 1992-1993 as I can remember). both based on 80286 processor and had memory of 1M, (640K base mem and 384K extended). one had a color graphics card with 256K memory. It's floppy drive was 51/4 drive and HDD was 40M drive. Loaded with dos 3.3 it was a hell of a PC. And it's in working condition right now except for it's hdd (i tried to format it to 1000M capacity and it had a head crash after 2-3 years).

It was performing good, it's usual clock speed was 6MHz but there is a button named 'turbo' to overclock it to 12MHz. HDD was impressive and it's a IDE drive. My other PC had a 20M HDD with data 2 cables with massive controller card not sure what it's called. I got it as a gift so no money is spend however around 6K spent to clear it from the docks.

One is still here and working perfectly fine except for it's HDD disc.

My first computer was a 486. 4mb memory, 40mb hard drive, 30Mhz CPU running DOS and Windows 3.1. The computer boots into DOS and we have to issue the command 'win' to log into windows.
But my first computer was the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Unlike the any modern x86 line of computers, this was technically, a BASIC compiler. The machine started into an editor and you have to write and execute BASIC programs. Storage was a normal cassette tape. Below is a picture taken from old-computers.com. I'll upload my own pictures later.

yes it's IO card, however it's the card connected to HDD. so it must be the HDD controller.

:yes::yes::yes:.. its same with old ones ???... IS there any FDD connector ???

486SX hv so... i think the older ones hv it too...
