what has happened to our country ? 3rd world countries are donating us rice these days.

* indonesia donated us rice

*pakistan donated us rice


recently Myanmar donated us rice. we have learned how sri lanka sent rice to burma in the past. what has happened to our nation now. are we really struggling for food in our country ?

we thrived because we used our own methods. every culture develops their own methods to successfully live in the environment they have to face. then westernization came. we lost our knowledge and they made us lose our seeds. we were given genetically modified infertile seeds which cannot be cultivated using traditional farming methods and are highly susceptible to pests. we have destroyed the biodiversity and transfered into a monoculture which was bad not only for us but for the nature as well. finally this happened.

actually green revolution and leading multi national organizations are responsible for this. hiding behind free trade and other beautiful words like eliminating world hunger, they have stolen the harvest.

As i remember there were so much rice we had earlier when MR was here ,we donated to some other countries.... and even they had to store them in Mattala Airport
