Machanz... What is this government is doing to the country...
It is really sad friends Isn't it.... Actually I am neither PA nor UNP or JVP or whatever.

But now see guys. They have increased their salaries. As a matter of fact no enough money in the country and I heard from a reliable source that they are printing or hv already printed more money.

So coz of this the inflation is going up immensly....

Now what happened to a dollar. Even Aussie dollar is increasing to 100 ryt?? Its 92 or 93 buck now....!!!

LTTE cowards are attacking in the night which resulted in closing the airport in the night and some airlines does not go to our country also. 70% of the flights operate in the night... So..... What is happening to the economy coz of all this....

I heard some countries are not going to give aid for us any more, as the government is not utilizing it correctly.. Why machang... these politicians are selfish like this... All are earning for them selves resulting a situation where no contry will give aid.

We are a 3rd world country and we need aid from rich countries and thats the reality.

By all these incidents, our economy will go down greatly... where there is no return....

What is happening to our country machang.... Feeling really sad.

Lot of people are migrating from SL coz of these reasons, and even I dont feel like comming back machng....

Inflation is going up and up day by day and people are getting poor and poor... economy is getting down and down where no one can rebuild it.... But all are ruining it....

What can we do guys...!!! Is there any thing we can do... I guess not...

1, Inflation went up due to salary increment, which let by JVP Unions, this is not new to us!

2, Aussie dollar is very strong, it's not only against Sri Lanka rupee, against all the major currencies. This is due to high investment in the stock market let by low inflation N booming natural resources exports.

3, Sri Lanka rupee is dipping N is one of the worst performing currencies in the world, this is because of lack of investment in the Colombo stock exchange n also falls FDI & local investments.

4, Government did print money, nearly $40 mil, that's because we didn't have any options cause by souring fuel bill & also war spending.

To make it positive We have get more Foreign Direct investments into the country and also need to boost exports since we don't have any natural resources to export!

By the way, I am not supporting to any party except mother Sri Lanka, I am just an economic analysis!

There is a nische market for every product and the government should identify it and supply the need.

Australia has a lot of deserts and even the population is low comparably. But still.... the people work hard and use the natural resources optimally eventhough there are not much...

Bro, we have resources but they are not value added or not worth as coal, gold, gas or uranium as Australia does. We have our people n they are well-educated n we need to utilise them. We can boost our service sector, banking, partly tourism, hub status, ICT n also agri sector but we need technology which comes with foreign direct investment. That’s what we are lack of, but it was on the move until this bloody LTTE carried our air raids. Ok now aussie travel waning is just pathetic, they come out every day, I use to work @ that building n every morning they put one on! Thailand is country where they had a coup but they did not have, so called air raid by a rebel or terrorist group. If we need to over come with these problems, we have to eliminate this F****war!

Right, but I truly believe that this cheap labour trend can not be terminated, For instance Indian politics worse than us, but because large pool of talented workers they have staggering numbers of FDI, which is even from Sri Lanka, recently MAS & Brandix announced $2billion investment, so even we have a clean politics or not we still can achieve economic stability, It cant not be stoped when public private partnership step in, In order do this we have to stop this war. It's simple would u wanna invest in a country where u see bomb explosions or air raids, of course no!

That’s true but we can't fix it straight away, people will realise it once they have peaceful life, now it's a jam, holidays, war, and corruptions! Once u on the track it ll be fixed automatically, I studied about Singapore economy, back in 60's they were like us but tnx their 5year plan, they resolve the prob's n got it to the track, see now, u can't stop it, that country is like treasure, any venture, it works it's lucrative, so that's what we need but war

I am afraid , if u read the whole thing u ll find about the truth buddy! Gov spend 59cent out of every tax rupee for public servants salaries plus war spending would soar up to $1.8 bil, so datz wots happen to the money

I didn't say that, wot i said was that they don’t have that much money due those problems, without boosting our exports we cant do anything or we need more FDI n service sector exports! That’s how Gov gets money by collecting tax since there is no major profit making institutes, which run by Gov!

No major profit making institutes, which run by Gov, coz they are run by silly politicians, thts anthr story .

And to boost exports, government shud support related industry sectors, rather than fooling em wit election time promises. And watever war is destruction, economically n politically..........

War does affect our country in large scale, we could loose up to billions of dollars FDI every year, which can lift the country as a powerhouse. Politics is sh*t, i dnt think that culture would change, we dnt need to worry about it that much if we didn't have a war coz it would curls up with economic development. For instance India can’t stop some of the things that under take by private or foreign investors due large number of job opportunities n tax benefits to the government and also it would help to transfers the technology to developing countries!
