Out of petrol

Feeding

Nobile's airship 'Italia' crashed on pack ice during its return from the Pole, half of the crew survived to be picked up seven weeks after the initial crash.
Nobile and Titina were rescued by a Swedish aircraft on June 23.

Space woman
Valentina Tereshkova practises eating in simulated flight conditions for her flight as the first woman in space.
Lieutenant Tereshkova, 26, was the fifth Russian cosmonaut to go into the Earth's orbit when her spaceship Vostok VI was launched on 16 June 1963, 1230 Moscow time.
Moscow Television broadcast the first pictures of Tereshkova - code-named Seagull - ninety minutes later.
