Considering OVERALL PERFORMANCE, though its POWER CONSUMPTION is little higher, GT650M is a BETTER for GAMING, comparing to GT740M.

Alienware M17x/14x or Asus G75/G53 is the best choice. Alienware you can upgrade pretty much everything(CPU/GPU/RAM/HDD). ASUS laptops use proprietary hw design so you can't upgrade.

If you want to play games at least buy Geforce 750M/AMD 8600M or higher range card. Even those cards struggle with new games.

Hmm. GT600 series is outdated. But both GT650 and GT740 almost identical in performance. Still they are not high end gaming GPUs. DELL ALIENWARE AM18X price is too high. Specially for the specs its not worthy at all. HP out of my choices.

Yeah, I like M14X but couldn't find one here. G75 is a beast. But its too heavy and price is high. I like to have G50 series but they didn't release any new models. I got G50VT-X5 currently.

But, you SAID BEFORE that you want GT740M...? Am I CORRECT? :dull:
I agree that ALIENWARE is too PRICEY, but that's how GAMING-WARE goes-on. ;)
Plus, WHY THE HELL don't you go for DELL INSPIRON R17 SPECIAL EDITION...? It's pretty COOL man!

Ya for a High-end multimedia Laptop that spec is ok, But Alienware meant to be hard core gaming. GT740 is mid range GPU. It useless paying that much of money for out dated non-gaming specs. I might go for MSI GE40 2OC Dragon Eyes. Currently they are out of stock at Redline.

Oh man! I know that GT SERIES of NVIDIA is NOT for GAMING, but YOU said, starting this THREAD, that GT740 is OK with you.
ASUS is WAY better than MSI for GAMING (I know that), but NO WAY below Rs. 200,000.
In fact, IDEAL-FOR-GAMING BRANDS like ALIENWARE/ASUS/RAZAR/DIGITAL STORM/CYBER POWER would NEVER meet YOUR PRICE.
Plus, DELL INSPIRON/HP ENVY are known for SOLIDITY & LONG LIFE, so TECHIES recommend them.
Anyway, do WHATEVER YOU LIKE, as the CHOICE is YOURS. Thanks. :)
