New Zealand opening batsman Martin Guptill has been under the shadow, owing to Brendon McCullum’s fireworks at the start of the innings. He has aggregated 532 runs and still has a game to play. Guptill needs to score just 10 runs in order to get to the top of the list of highest run-scorers.

    3. Mitchell Starc (Australia)

Mitchell Starc has undoubtedly been one of the most lethal bowlers of the ICC World Cup 2015. With 20 wickets from 8 matches, Starc is in a close contest with Trent Boult of New Zealand (21 wickets). Keeping the stats aside, Mitchell Starc has been the most valuable players for the Aussies and his early breakthroughs in every match have kept Australia ahead of the curve.

    4. Trent Boult (New Zealand)

If Guptill has delivered for New Zealand with the bat, then it is Trent Boult who has delivered with the ball. The left-arm quickie has been sharp throughout the tournament and has played a major role in bowling the opposition out on many occasions. His 21 wickets from 8 games stand testimony to his effect on this World Cup.
