In last year alone almost US$ 2 Billion in Grant Aid were provided Sri Lanka for development projects in the areas of Education, Medical and Health Care. It was also brought to the Presidents notice that if Islamic countries place restrictions of supplying oil on special terms, Sri lanka will be compelled to Import from Russia only which the Price of a Barrel of Crude oil is over three times the price of Arab oil.
