Please HELP

My motherboard has a jmicron PCIE to SATA2/IDE RAID CONTROLLER onboard.
Usually when I turn on my p.c before vista loads the controller scans for drives and detects my DVD drive and DVD writer(within 5 seconds or so).Since yesterday the controler just keeps scaning and after a long time says no drives detected.So because of this my dvd drives are not displayed in vista.
I cant figure this out cause both my DVD drives are IDE and all my 3 hard drives are deteted.
I tried going to the BIOS and disabling the controller also I tried running it in raid mode.The problem remains
Please if anyone has any idea about this problem tell me what to do?

machan the motherboard is a ASUS P5W DH Delux.One of my hard drives is IDE the other two are SATA.The DVD drives that dont work are IDE.
This card is buit in to the motherboard.
