No need to do all that. The User CP has the option not to display signatures as well as option not to display avatars.

if you use that option the whole sig gets hidden...not only images.. links and all... with ad block plus you can avoid any particular image you dont want to load..

well, those members can turn off viewing signatures as well.
The option is in the User CP.

yes, that could be the easy way if someone doesnt like sigis.. but sometimes i find normal sigis are ok, one thing is they are being loaded for the first time and then they are getting stored in teh cache right?

the next thing is sometimes signatures help me to remember persons! I usually disable images showing hot girls!! my parents woud think im watching porno sites when im scrolling EK forum threads!!!

and also i block those big images!
