You can take the car in the ferry. The car rental guys will charge a bit extra for insurance for ferry transport.Croatia itself is not developed as the others nearby. Slovenia is way ahead. Even the Car rental guys were scammers. They chaged me about $600 as a deposit which they said will be returned within two weeks.  Since I never heard from them for months, even after I called tham and sent several emails, I contacted Discovery Cars whom I made the original booking with. The called me within a day and said just leave the matter with them to be sorted out, which they did within three days. The rental guys who never answered me, sent an apology and fully refunded.</blockquote>
