i agree with you regarding the fact in most of the pvt hospitals do not provide optimum patient care...most of us consider that going to Gov hospital is a disgrace[foolishly]..
but one thing i have to say ..although there are few of doctors of that category most of our doctors spends sleepless nights caring patients.. as Sri lankan doctor patient ratio is so low work load for Gov doctors is immense...in some clinics one doctor consults hundreds of patients...they are human beings & make "mistakes" ..but amount of service provide by them cant be underastimated...Those who remain in motherland [as Doctors can go abroad for very high salaries ] their service is' Amila'.i..i know how you feel..but it is not the fact for every one..dont foget they save hundreds of lives tooo

our people are forced to choose private hospitals without any consideration about what the disease is or how much they can afford.........this surely has become a very common trend these days.........The innocent patient has no option but to choose a private hospital coz they have been deceived by the false recommendations done by some "doctors"........(Who are a disgrace to the name of " doctor")and the attitude abt gov. hospitals in our society. I think Gov. Hospitals are surely more responsible and careable than private ones although they've lack of facilities..........Private hospitals are only founded for money!!!!!!I don't say they are wrong bt they are doing jst a business....
