Police Commandos ambush LTTE group; 13 terror bodies found - Panama

Police Special Task Force (STF) personnel attacked a group of LTTE infiltrators detected in the Panama area this morning (Apr 3). According to the defence sources, 13 bodies of LTTE cadres, five T-56 weapons and one M-16 weapon have been found during the subsequent search. The sources also said that LTTE's explosive expert Paramanantha master is also among the dead

The police commandos launched a special operation in the area, on intelligence indicating possible LTTE presence. The attack took place close to the 10th Milepost at Lahugla around 10.30 AM.
