I don't know about other private institutes. But in SLIIT, they are building 2 x 15 story building for the engineering faculty and some other faculties.Mostly for labs. There will be more than enough laboratories with up to date facilities for research. And SLIIT is actively promoting research for 4th year students.And the senior academic staff is required to carry out their own research with junior academic team members. They are fully funded by SLIIT. Again I don't know much about other institutes.</blockquote>
