A police Sergeant and three constables have been arrested for molesting a woman in the Uppuweli area, Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said.
He said that the persons arrested will be produced in courts today.
The incident came as the police continued its crackdown on media and television stations on what they called publication or broadcasting of “Obscene’ photographs or pogrammes.
The Women and Children’s Bureau have decided to continuously monitor the print media and television stations in order to take action against the publication of broadcast of such pictures.
