The suspect was identified as Arangalage Manjula Shri Prabath who served  as a Sub Inspector at the Mt Lavina HQI office. He had submitted an application to the LTTE with his photograph attached  to it. The application was detected during clearing operations by the  security forces in Pudukudirippu in August last year. However the suspect soon after had fled the country and recently  arrested on his return.
