Wednesday the 30th was to be a day of reckoning. Or so it seemed in paradise isle. It was to be a big miracle “a historical happening” at 8.05 p.m said the ‘SMS’ sent to one and all. So like all superstitious paradisians the leading types too paused and braced. NOTHING happened. Poor Dull Ass was taking the mickey out of the hoi polloi. The Yarl Devi was to recommence…only to venture one kilometre and back to the yard. And it was not April Fool’s day either…Hee! Hee!
Another faux pas
Ra-Blue made another faux pas when he asked people at a political rally in Hambanthota to go to the polling booths early on October 18 and vote for his party. Sajeet the love-slave had later told a strong party supporter that their party had lost a few hundred votes after Ra-Blue’s speech
Beware Atta-Leader
There is a sinister campaign within the Elephant party to tarnish the image of Atta-Leader. Ra-Blue had got an article published, stating the Atta-Leader has done little or nothing for the party, compared to his predecessor Branch-Kolara. However, it was none other than Ra-Blue who side-lined Branch-Kolara when the latter was the party secy.
Will never learn
Wee Wee is not one to learn. This time he was using his small frame with the big orifice on his face to castigate Pee Bee. “He shouldn’t be tolerated…..should be hounded out …blah…blah…blah. Two days later the Court that is Supreme welcomed Pee Bee back. As for our Wee Wee not a whimper since! The bally blot we hear is shaking in fear of committing that dreaded of all maladies in this ole land — contempt! Join the club ole boy! Join the club!
Self before country
Mah-Know Gun was seen doing the rounds at deep-low-matic circles with his mango friend Park-Yah-Show. The duo, along with two other anti-Sri Lanka agents were seen chatting in a corner with some deep-low-mats at a reception hosted by the mission of Uncle Sam’s country. self before country eh!
Thinking Ahead
The Es El Ef Pee was earlier considered to be the family property of the Bandas. With the retirement of the Queen Bee the party is well on the way to a long innings by another family. The Raja Pakshas to be exact. This is according to an interview given by a member of the family. It was Char Mal who said now that the Bandas are finished it would be the innings of the Raja Pakshas for 75 years hence!! Hmmmm….On a positive note at least we will all be dead come yore. Thank God!
Bell boys perturbed
Sooma-1-sa had severely criticized Bell party’s district leaders for failing to attract crowds even at pocket meetings during the southern polls campaign. “If this is what i see now, i could well imagine what we could receive on October 10. we can’t face humiliation in the south too,” he cautioned his provincial leaders.
Fooling the Leader

So Himin Air is to get new birds to fly from Chi Na. A little bird whispers that it would make Himin profitable. It will use state of the art craft built by Paradisians’ new found friends the Chi niece. They are super fuel efficient too or so it is said. Why? They have a neutral gear so you can go down slopes on neutral without burning fuel….Ha! ha!
