mama dan genawet dlink ekak,habai wireless nemei.ekata mama ara bkp 1a restore karanna yanakota kiyanawa dis is not a valid file kiyala.

et meka genalla mama NAT config karala pop3 walata,mails enawada kiyala chk kala.seen 1tiyenne, samahara mails enawa,et,samahara mails enne na. users la complain karanawa unta mail enne na kiyala outside mails. inside the network is okay. but error 1k ennet na outlook wala,user ge.

virus gard 1 kasperskey.licence 50users.ekatat exceptions deela tiyenne pop3 wala....

what exactly are you trying to do here ? POP3 cannot submit or relay mail. Only SMTP can do that.

to receive mail on to your server, you have to open up tcp port 25 on your router and forward that port to your server.

Also you'll need a fixed IP with MX and A records set for your domain for this IP as well.

If you're relaying mail out directly from this IP, you'll also need to set the rDNS for this IP and ofcause the fixed IP should be in a non portalbe IP block to avoid Level 3 black lists.

ya i have a fixed ip from slt.and i added to da mx record to my domain.dat all i hav done 2yrs ago.still its in my server.i checked.and i've open up da port to my mail server.both 25,110.

i tink dis router config problem is da cause.

what's the domain ? can test from here to see if the server accepts mail without issues.

router eke network address translation add karanna ona server ekata mails enna nam. eka tamai NAT kiyanne.oka hama router 1kama tiyenawa.e setings mama hadala tiyenne router eke.et prob is still in.....

here's the biggest problem :

Trying your.ip.address ...
telnet: connect to address your.ip.address : Connection timed out

Your router doesnt have port 25 open. If it does, its not forwarding the port to your smtp server.

Here's problem number 2 :

your domain.        86400    IN    MX    10 your.mail.server.
your domain.        86400    IN    MX    20 whale.slt.lk.
your domain.        86400    IN    MX    30 whale1.slt.lk.

with this setup, when your mail server is busy or out of bandwidth, the mail goes to SLT servers. This'll explain why some mail did not reach your users mail boxes. they are probably at the slt servers.

A port scan shows that not a single port is open in your router.

First of all make sure your router still has the correct fixed IP.
Go to www.whatismyip.com and see the IP it shows and then compare it with the A record for your mail server. Both should be the same.

port 25 is not open for your IP. With port 25 closed, you router will not allow mail to come in.
You'll have to open port 25 and forward it to your server.
