At the time of the incident the bus had been carrying a full load of passengers including students, women and small children. Two police officers in civvies travelling in the bus had alerted the Aralaganwila police, who stopped the bus and made the arrests.
When questioned, the two suspects had said they were unaware that the DVD contained phonographic scenes but played it believing it was a music video.
Further investigations are proceeding under Aralaganwila police OIC Lalith Rajamanthri. (K.G. Karunaratne)
