should be odd ones i guess:nerd:or may be becacuse of entry level GPUs:P
i had lot of troubles:dull:
And I had a Gigabyte 9700Pro (GV-R9700Pro) that burned just after 1 year! Rs.35000 gone wasted!
Then I had a Gigabyte 9600Pro (GV-R96P128DE), the replacement card, because i couldn't spend that much money on a new VGA, which also burned out after about 2 years.

So much for Gigabyte! :P

Well, if you buy from Singapore or Malaysia, the prices are very low. The basic model of Asus is actually is cheaper than most other brands.

The problem is with the Sri Lankan market. I wouldn't pay that much, even 25k for a VGA that is just mainstream. It's worth paying 35k for a 4870 or something like that, but no way I'm paying that much for a 8800GT or even the 8800GTS.

in that case i don't have any idea about local market and why Singapore & Malaysia gets special treatments?

it was 17k. 2k was for shipping, which i shouldn't have incurred if the person who bought it couldn't cancel his trip to SL.
