It followed shortly after a 6.6 magnitude quake in same area.The earthquake struck about 10km deep, making it a shallow earthquake according to Indonesia's meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency.Just minutes earlier, at 12.06pm local time, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck only several kilometres from the epicentre of the first earthquake. That earthquake also struck 10km deep. There was a swaying movement for about 40 seconds. People ran out of their homes, an AFP correspondent said.     Reports say, There was no major damages reported from this populated area. The U.S. Geological survey is reporting that the earthquakes was centered 88 miles beneath the ocean floor. US Geological Survey measured the earthquake at 7.1.  A 7.1 magnitude earthquake has struck the region of Papua, Indonesia just a short time ago. A tsunami warning is presently in effect for the area.</blockquote>
