According to Lord Buddha's teachings that birth as a human being is, indeed, a very rare opportunity. Fortunate people who achieve that rare opportunity should develop their minds to reach the ultimate goal of Nibbana. So the Mahamevnawa monastery is teaching the people how to practice meditation to reach the Nibbana.
Four Noble Truths
The meditation is based on the Lord Buddha’s doctrine of the Four Noble Truths and this world to make known and explain the four Noble Truths.
1. suffering (Dukkha Arya Satya) - It incorporates suffering, both mental and physical, dissatisfaction, unpleasant, unsatisfactory and many others.
2. Origin of Suffering (Dukkha Samudaya Arya Satya)
3. Cessation of Suffering (Dukkha Nirodha Arya Satya)
4. Noble Eightfold Path (Marga Arya Satya)
