Its completely wrong and u should not apply anything on IUCD (as it comes in a sterile pack) but u have to take sterile precausions and u have to clean the genital areas( im not going in to detail k?)Also ectopic pregnancy is not a major side effect in this IUCD thing but ectopics ( pregnancy in areas other than womb) do occur. common side effects would be changes in bleeding patterns ( menstruation), cramps during periods another post said "AFAIK, IUDs (copper) reacts with sperm cell wall and the eggs cell wall which prevents them from generating an embryo...
