And dont go n ask for a 1GB or 512 vga...ask for a specific model.....memory does matter but its not everything.....
For example if you take a geforce 7600GS which has 512 onboard memory and a geforce 7600GT which has 256.....still the GT will beat the GS in every benchmark cause the GT has a higher core clock and memory clock n more pipelines i believe.....Memory does matter in higher resolutions.....Playing in higher resolutions with a memory like 512 or 1 GB will increase your framrate for sure.....bt a card with higher clock will always be better

    Yes 8800GT is awesome.....

8800GT will cost around 30 -35k.....n offers similar performance to the expensive GTX....n has new architecture(G92) Direct X 10.1.......GT comes 3rd....
    1.Ultra
    2.GTX
    3.GT
    4.GTS

    See Here

ATI is a better performer for its prise...but i don't think you can get them in SL.....

nVidia doesn't have DX10.1 support btw.
And the "new" GTS comes at 2nd-3rd.

Sorry mate my mistake.....Bt no....GTX still comes 2nd as it beats the G92 GTS in most of the benchmarks with a small lead......well cant say that also......cause both cards have very similar performance........Yeah it should deserve a place ...either 2nd or 3rd.......

    I found some benchmarks.....

I didn't say 2nd, nor did I say 3rd. GTS wins where clock speed matter, GTX wins where mem performance matters (bus width x mem clock gives an indication of what is better at memory operations) At high resolutions, card with better memory bandwidth would shine.

Hmm ya....bt overall having a higher bandwidth wins..... well even if the GTS clock is higher it still comes behind in most of the benchmarks @ normal 1024 resolution......

the gtx768 pulls 1-2 more fps than the gts512 (g92) and is tri sli but the gts (g92) cost alot less, on the other hand the gt512 (g92) is a better bang for buck... the gts512 (g92) is the better overclocker= tom's hardware.
