Message: <blockquote data-quote="supun75" data-source="post: 4367618" data-attributes="member: 50291">I agree.I had 2 friends who got 3 A's for A'levels and went abroad to do engineering.One went to RMIT and the other went to Melbourne Uni.Just Because some ppl didn't qualify for local unis they are not idiots.I don't think Moratuwa ppl are jealous or any thing ,,,at least the ones who went from our schools.The argument mostly come from the rural areas i think according to my sources...The other factor is in local A'Ls z score has a larger impact from Chemistry the subject that is least needed for engineering.(I do a eng course at Monash 1st year).Engineering is all abt maths and Physics...(except for chemical eng)(but that is only one stream there are 6 more i think, and chemical is at the lowest in SL unis).So one can argue that some ppl who go to Moratuwa went there cos of they were brilliant at Chemistry.It is the reality.One bloke i knew got ABC A-chemistry.He was qualified for engineering from Colombo.</blockquote>
