Y these student cut their lectures & wait in roads....
THIS WILL VERY HIGH RISK TO HEALTH SYSTEM IN SRI LANKA.
Y I'M SAYING THAT BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL HAVE TO PAY THOUSANDS OF MONEY TO TAKE MEDICINE FROM THEM .
THIS IS BUSINESS AS WE INVEST MONEY IN SHARE MARKET,SAKVITHI.....

Even there is no PMC's in Sri Lanka still peoples who can pay the price can get the degree from any country like India China even in Bangladesh don't they come back to Sri Lanka???
even without any kind of certificate there is still many people who act like doctors so its just not do any bad than that i think

    but the good fact is

we can save millions of money people pay for foreign countries for education and even can earn from foreign students

like in Australia their main income is education on these days

only thing to do is make a proper way to handle PMC, not avoid it

    Yes Machan. Because only thing is Jealousy...

It is good move.. we have to put forward the issue, compare to other countries like US & UK even Malaysia + Arabcountries having theier Provate Accredited Universites..then why Srilnkans will oppose this. i firmly welcome the issue.. we have to thing in positive way....this will create many job opporunities + good benefit for students who is travelling to other countries to have their degress...

i totally agree with you gayan...i'm a foreign medical student.i got ACC in my A/L's.but i couldnt get through to the medical faculty.i was selected to agriculture.so i came abroad and studying medicine..but the people who have got less results than me they have entered to the local madical faculties due to their district.this is so unfair.if there were PMC in srilanka most of students would not go abroad...they can study in srilanka with our own patients and our own environment.
the people who have money they get education for their children.
by opening PMC we can protect money in srilanka.but there should be a proper way to give the MBBS degree.
    cheers!

Quite true machan..Which Uni/College are you in??

I'm also a foreign med grad currently working in SL.

Even I got ABB in A/l in 2003 but only got Bioscience in Colombo which I didn't want to but ppl who got BCC from moneragala have entered medicine just cos they didnt want to go to a better school & get good marks & stayed on in moneragala. So just because they didn't want to leave their families & go to a better school in the cities, why should we leave ours after getting good results & spend money & go abroad?

Apitath maha loku salliyak thibuney naha pitarata gihin igene ganne...thiyene geyai, idamai bankuwata Morgatge karalai giye..Thaama ewata apey thaththa naya gevanawa...Me kaa gahane evun hithanne salli thiyene moda minissunge moda lamai kiyala pitarata gihin degree gahala enne kiyala....Ungey kuhaka kama thamai e pennanne

Who says that you have to get 3A's to be eligible to become doctors??

In UK they only ask for a "C" in Chemistry to apply for med school & they churn out the best Docs in the world.Any person even with a basic BA degree can do a foundation course in chemistry for 3 years & then enter med school in UK....lankaawe thamai okkoma gon part tika daanne

Who can say that ABB results aren't good enough to become a doctor?? with results of ABB,you can apply for med school in any country except for in SL

These ppl think that the med degree in SL is the best in the world..Even the SLMC registrar Dr Nonis has refused to award it's recognition to rajarata Med faculty cos it's not up to even Srilankan Standards...ithin rajarata evunuth PMC ekata virudhdhawa pelapaali yanawa athi me dawas wala hariyata e gollonge facultiya hari shok kiyala hithaagene
