Prolem with my DVD-Rom

I'm using a 'Toshiba' M200 Satellite laptop. It used to play oth CD's and DVD's fine. But now it doesn't read CD's. But reads DVD's fine. Pls help me

one of ma frnds also had da same problem wit a samsung DVDrom

in dat he was able to read only original CD's. n e normal CD's wont read.

he had to change it in da end.

1. Boot into safe mode and see if the drive will let you read CDs.
2. Boot the system with a bootable CD

and tell us is it working or not..
