The prophet was around 54 years at the time, and, like people argue here if life expectancy was low at the time, knew that he will not live long; so he knew that he was going to leave behind a very young widow, with another 50-60 years ahead of her to live without a partner. (If even old men of 54 years went for child brides, I need not argue the possibility of a widow getting a good partner.)This sounds very inconsiderate of him, specially when he himself had 8 or 9 wives, and even at the age of 55-60 he considered a sex life is a necessity. If he really needed to educate Lady Ayisha on Islam, he could have adopted her as a child, or have her married to a son of his.By the way, did Prophet Mohommed have any children?</blockquote>
