A series of protests outside selected foreign missions in the country is to be launched commencing from the British High Commission today claiming that the countries were acting against the interests of Sri Lanka.
The protesters are already outside the British High Commission chanting slogans and displaying placards.
“We are an independent country, leaves free”, is the theme of the proctors who include Buddhist monks and student groups.
They are due to march to the embassies of France, US, Australia, among others.
Security has been strengthened outside the embassies.
This protest is in addition to the island wide protests currently underway.
