Message: <blockquote data-quote="dilon" data-source="post: 2013876" data-attributes="member: 17600">The Raigam Tele-awards is scheduled to be held for the fourth consecutive year at BMICH on May 9 at 7 pm.The Awards ceremony was launched four years ago with the objective of improving Tele-dramas in Sri Lanka by appreciating excellent Tele-creations, talented artistes and technicians engaged in the industry and also to set standards for better creations for the next generation. According to the organisers the three preceding Awards ceremonies were successful due to the high standards maintained and whatever criticisms expressed have been addressed for this year's event.The Tele-dramas completed their telecast during the year to 31st December 2007 in any television channel in Sri Lanka (excluding cable TV and subscribed connections) are eligible to participate at this awarding ceremony. Tele-dramas have been collected under three categories this time namely weekly episode, single episode and multi mega Tele-dramas. In addition to the regular awards, few awards have been allocated for Mega Tele-dramas telecasted on a daily basis. This is the first event in Sri Lanka to recognise this category as a trend in the Tele-drama industry.</blockquote>
