A top minister in Sri Lanka’s federal government of President Mahinda Rajapakse has reiterated that funds of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were routed to financing several Tamil films including superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster Kuselan.
“I was not bluffing. My statement was based on the statements given by the leaders of the LTTE who are now in our custody after (the military) victory (over the separatists),” said Rishad Bathiudeen who stirred up a hornet nest in Tamil Nadu recently.
The minister claimed that money from the LTTE was being diverted to a London-based Tamilian to make films with Rajinikanth though the superstar may not be aware of that.
