Rangana Hearth, one of the fine spinners in Sri Lankan cricket squad has been recalled for the upcoming Bangladesh tour.
Sri Lanka Cricket has taken this decision since the young spinner Ajantha Mendis is likely to miss the test tournament due to an ankle injury he suffered during a domestic match.
The Sri Lanka team physio, said the spinner had strained his right ankle and need to rest. “Mendis has to rest for two weeks, but he should be able play for the one day series," he said.
The two match test series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is to begin on December 26.
