Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris will make his first visit to the United Kingdom tomorrow, since the formation of the new UK Government , External Affairs Ministry told Daily Mirror online
Minister Peiris will hold discussions with William Hague, Dr. Liam Fox, Secretary of State for Defence, and other Members of the British Parliament
Minister Peiris is also scheduled to meet the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Kamalesh Sharma. Sri Lanka has assumed a leading role within the Commonwealth as the current Chair of the Board of Governor’s of the Commonwealth.

Opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe is to leave tonight for UK where he is expected to meet British Foreign Secretary William Hague. He will then leave for Norway where a meeting is scheduled with Erik Solheim.
