[QUOTE="freak88, post: 4709130, member: 143412"] Daniel Vettori Obviously after winning 10 games and finishing on top of the table is a huge achievement. But sport can be cruel at times, they only remember the team that wins at the end of it all. But you know it can happen sometimes when you get into a one-off semi-final kind of a situation. We were first in the round robin league but the final result does have a disappointing effect on the side. Someone reminded me that it was similar to what happened to New Zealand in the 1992 World Cup. Even then New Zealand side had finished on top in the league stage and then lost in the semis for a heartbreaking moment. I hadn't thought of it like that, but there are some similarities. But the year 1992 is a long time away from 2009. The fact is that we just did not play as well under pressure. We were undone by an amazing innings from Gilchrist which won the game for Deccan Chargers. There is bound to be a lot of disappointment of not making it to the title round despite doing well in the round robin.
