With this increase the price of a packet of milk power weighing 1kg would be Rs.687.  Minister of Trade, Marketing Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Services Bandula Gunawardene said the decision to amend the prices was reached after much debate and an agreement was signed between the minister and companies that import milk powder.
