To whoever the low-life imbecile who sent the comment below - just realise that if the hard disk disk is with me , all it would take 3 minutes to see whether it's recoverable or not.
I have helped many here but they had enough knowledge to properly assess the situation.
Some need correct guidance step by step. One mistake, goodbye to the data stored. That's the reason, that references on the web was provided. I cannot write tutorials here. Hope this pea-brained dimwit will understand.

Try and see whether it's recoverable. TestDisk can do the job. But you got to know what you are doing. Best to seek help from someone who knows rater than making a complete mess and losing all the data.

    short answer : you cant't.
Long answer, as many has already informed, recover the data first and then converting the file system is the only way.

If the disk is getting detected, use any of the already given software to recover what data that can be recovered.
If the disk is not getting detected, then you need professional help.
