Sri Lanka must follow Telangana to change Sri Lanka to English Medium and as base Language for Instruction. There are no jobs for those who study in Tamil or Sinhala. If the government is interested in changing to a language for more than 2bn people of this world know to speak that is English. Because English is most often not spoken as Primary Language by as a secondary language.

If the government is really interested in employability of people then it should go for it. There would be no teacher shortage in the country since both Tamil and Sinhala teachers can teach in English.

Realising that the poor employability of people from Telangana may haunt the new state in the years to come, the one-year-young government has laid down a policy to dramatically change the education system of the state. "We are planning all educational institutions in Telangana to be residential with English as the medium of instruction," says chief minister KCR .
