    Season 2


    Storm Chasers is a docudrama television show that follows a team of storm chasers as they attempt to intercept and film a tornado from inside it. During the 2007 season, the team used a fleet of three vehicles, the Tornado Intercept Vehicle or TIV, the Scout car, and a Doppler on Wheels or DOW. For the 2008 season, the team and its vehicles have been expanded and upgraded as follows: 1) the original DOW has been replaced by the new DOW6 with improved speed, power and range; 2) the original TIV has been augmented by the new TIV2 (both versions are still used in the field); and 3) two new vehicles, PROBE 1 and PROBE 2, are now used to deploy probes. Additionally, the crew and TVN vehicle from Tornadovideos.net has joined the team.

    Season 3

    The third season of Storm Chasers premiered on October 18 on the Discovery Channel. It will feature the VORTEX2 team, led by Josh Wurman in the DOW and supported by Danny Cheresnick and Aaron Ruppert in SCOUT (A new 2009 Jeep Wrangler replaces the old Nissan Pathfinder). Reed Timmer and the TVN team also returns with their new "SRV Dominator" vehicle. Sean Casey and his TIV team return as well in their improved TIV2, and are now assisted by the new TIV Doghouse (a Dodge Ram 2500 equipped with weather radar, GPS and HD filming equipment). A new team known as TWISTEX led by veteran storm chaser Tim Samaras along with Carl Young and Tony Laubach join the series driving TWISTEX Probe (a modified 2003 GMC Sierra Denali) and Twistex M1-M3 (three modified Chevy Cobalts)
