I dont know if VW is able to do that, but renualt does it. Technology / used equipments are the same as renault global. http://www.nissan-global.com/EN/COMPANY/PROFILE/ALLIANCE/RENAULT01/index.html Its the higher percentage of localization thats given its competitive price tag. Its made to complete with other indian entry level vehicles. So no point of arguing about the safety there for the vehicle tagged 3 Lahks INR. It has a air bag even, but driver side only, and its is safer than other cars in its segment. looking at Sri Lanka car market, even I would't buy a second hand indian car. I would simply get rid of my vehicle when the time is right. Either dispose or exchange it with AMW for a new one. No point of using a heavily used ugly looking superb condition car for the same price having the assurance that I cant sell it for a better price later. I dont want to buy this as a investment. Good for you. You are lucky that you can afford those vehicle and being saved in an accident. AXIO accident happened near kaduwela exit left all the people alive buy 1 in a coma for over a month now. I agree that there is a better chance in surviving in a japanese post millennium car than in a option less car . But if you are bound to die, no body can stop it. same goes with japanese cars. they are getting their asses fall off for the prices we pay here. and my friend for the KWID, when I told the price for a indian friend from fb , rather than laughing he was shocked. You seems like a guy with some good knowledge in the area, I'm pretty sure that you know all about vios and premio. however you cant talk about KWID if you haven't done a research about his car for like 6-7 months. because I did!!!
