Somebody brought to our notice that the so called "Mavil Aru" is
actually called "Mahaveli Oya".
As you all know the Tamils have been changing our true sinhala area
names, names of our rivers and anything that they can change, it must be
our duty to protect and preserve our true sinhala names.
But, without thinking we all use the Tamilised name and we slowly forget
and ignore our true sinhla names making a big mistake by ourselves.
So, hereafter, kindly use the Sinhala name first and Tamil name in
Brackets wherever you can find the true Sinhala name. We must start this
even in a small way. Gradually we can raise this issue to the national
level and help restore all our Sinhala forgotten names and undo the
damage that the Tamil nationalists have done on our country.
For an instance, the area we call with a Tamilised word "Kanthale"
or "Kanthalai" is actually "Ganthalaya".
Since our true sinhala name "Ganthalaya" has been forgotten so deeply,
we can use our Sinhala word along with the Tamil name appearing in a
bracket if you ever use this area name in any of your writings.
For an instance, to say "The LTTE has attacked Gantalaya (Kanthalai)
today. This way we must try to give a start.
