In March 1993 Kevin Carter made a trip to southern Sudan and took this photograph.
The picture would later bring him the Pulitzer prize, but also death.
The girl had stopped to rest while struggling to reach the refugee camp, nearby a vulture is waiting her to die.
It is a horrific picture that gave people a true look at the dire condition in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Kevin then came under a lot of scrutiny for spending over 20 minutes setting up the photo instead of helping the child.
Three months after taking the photo, he committed suicide.

Lkdood Sri Lanka aint going to become a Sudan. You know it. I know it. We all know it. A 20 year war didn't turn us into Sudan. So peace time aint gonna do that.

You need to stop this "Im in the UK so my ass is safe ... but look what shit you are in" stuff. No one in Sri Lanka is impressed by youre bull shit. And you aint a patriot. Traitor more like.

if you think SL is going down, just go to some where else or never come back here.. no one can change your stupid brainwashed mentality.. you think we are all stupid and blindly following MR for all his PR gimmicks ryt? Wrong if it wasn't him..we are still at a war fearing the worst whenever we go out.. you wouldn't have ever felt that because you didn't live here. did you ever expect the war to be over.. are you jealous because we are now having a much better life ???

To all the other non brainwashed people, what ever MR does might seem silly but most of them are well planned and executed to the betterment of our country. if you want examples.. start from unsuccessful peace talks, naming LTTE as terrorists, removal of ceasefire, war, letting namal contest from hambanthota, appointing chamal rajapakshe as speaker of parliament...

If you are a fan of SF and think he is innocent about military equipment deal. well i had evidence(invoices issued under the name of british borneo signed by dhanuna) to prove them guilty but when I returned to the place where I found them... they were all gone( i used to live there for an year)according the invoices ive found they have imported

    Helicopter radar devices
    Signalling devices
    computers
    body armour

they war all imported by british boreneo to Sri Lanka and were signed by danuna... guess where I was...

about the failed states index.. Sri Lanka in the 25th position 3 ranks lower from the 2009 position.(no 1 being Somalia) only 6 countries in the 'alert' category have made such improvements isn't that good, cant you accept thats an improvement??
