To deal with the lawyer trying to ripoff, you can have a family lawyer that you may frequently deal with. Or try to find one through your personal contacts. I always talk to lawyers that are friends of my friends so they don't try to ripoff. Also its a good idea to have a contact you can call anytime you want. I hardly visit a police station without having the lawyer with me. There is a huge difference in how they treat you when you are with your lawyer vs you are alone. SL police cannot be trusted as well.As much as the legal system has issues, there can be workarounds as well. So again, its a good idea to always talk to a pro before deciding.In some cases, the court can tell the other guy to pay a bit each month and this is the worst case scenario. If this happens I guess you have to go to the court every month to collect some bloody 500 rs or something. As far as I know, this is allowed if the other person can prove that he is unable to pay due to financial problems. Again, this is where you need your lawyer next to you if the other person is bringing up excuses like this.</blockquote>
