Vaiko Gopalaswamy has been expelled from his own party, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK).Vaiko is the strongest supporter of the tiger terrorists in India
Vaiko's party suffered a vertical split after he expelled dissident leaders of the party L. Ganeshan and Gingee R. Ramachandran , who are now leading the splinter group and trying to grab the MDMK and its property from him. Two Lok Sabha party members are supporting him and two others are leading the splinter group.
Vaiko Gopalaswamy , a controversial politician, although supporting Prabhakaran to divide Sri Lanka, in the Tamil Nadu assembly is politically allied with the Opposition leader Jayalitha Jayaram's All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam ( AIADMK) who continues to oppose tiger terrorists and openly calls them terrorists. Jayalalitha is also at the top in the tigers' assassination list.
