SAMSUNG Super Write Master : Cant Read 8.5GB DVD

hey i've got a SAMSUNG Super Write Master 2 months old....and found out that it Cant Read 8.5GB DVDs , any comments??

does this mean dat this isnt compatible for 8.5s??

Dual layer is not a new thing... even my more than 3yr old Samusng Drive(old UDMA 2 new drives are UDMA 4) reads Dual layer disks.. Try to do a firmware update... If those DVD's readable by other drives then return your drive to the place u bought it saying it's faulty...

If you bought a DVD-ROM or RW that not compatiable with Dual layer disk.. That's got a be pretty old like 4x ... If you have install Nero go to Nero Info Tool and select your drive.. it will definatly say -R DL & +R DL compatible.. Not just that ur driver should be able to write DL disks

man its a samsung super write master 22x man.....still it takes damn time......well there must be sum shitting error on the written dvds.......they were from canada...and even wont read on my car dvd and the SONY dvd home theater...

seemed to have been written directly off a DVD cam.......and dats not compatible.........

I use LG DVD-RAM drives for more than 2 years (on PC & lapa);those works well...specially 16x on on PC,(on lapa 8x one of same model)

btw,Dual layer blanks ganan neda ban?ara banana wage ewa adui ne?my frd gt bulk of DVDRAM discs....amazing?do u knw a plc/price ?
