Try to do a firmware update... If those DVD's readable by other drives then return your drive to the place u bought it saying it's faulty...If you bought a DVD-ROM or RW that not compatiable with Dual layer disk.. That's got a be pretty old like 4x ... If you have install Nero go to Nero Info Tool and select your drive.. it will definatly say -R DL & +R DL compatible.. Not just that ur driver should be able to write DL disks</blockquote>
