Kumar Sangakkara’s vehicle had been caught in the flash floods on Wednesday night in the city of Colombo causing the Sri Lanka skipper and his wife to walk in waist-high water during the record rain fall that lashed the Sri Lankan capital.
“Unbelievable rains in Colombo last night and this morning. Yehali and I had to abandon our jeep on Kynsey Road last night and wade through waist-high water to dry land! The whole jeep was floating – incredible!” Sangakkara stated, describing the incident.
