Disanayaka was subjected to two years rigorous imprisonment for contempt of court, the Election Commissioner excluded his name from the electoral list for seven years until December 05, 2011.The petition was considered by panel of judges comprised of justices Shirani Bandaranaike, Saleem Marshuk and Jagath Balapatabendi.The Supreme Court fixed the hearing on April 01. President's Counsel Faiz Mustafa appeared for S.B. Disanayaka.</blockquote>
