SCHOOLS IN COLOMBO TO BE CLOSED FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AND DAYATA KIRULA!!

Seven schools will be closed from January 30 to February 5 and another four from February 1 to 11 due to the Independence Day celebrations and the ‘Deyata Kirula’ exhibition respectively in Colombo. The schools that will be closed as a part of the security arrangements for the Independent Day celebrations are Royal College, D.S.Senanayake College, Mahanama Vidyalaya, Vishaka Vidyalaya, Ananda College, Nalanda College in Colombo and Yasodara Balika Vidyalaya, Borella. Education Ministry’s Additional Secretary (Education Development) W.Dharmadasa said another four schools namely Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Borella, Devi Balika Vidyalaya, President’s College, Rajagiriya and C.W.M. Kannangara Maha Vidyalaya, Borella would be closed from February 1 to 11 due to the Deyata Kirula exhibition.
