The schools that will be closed as a part of the security arrangements for the Independent Day celebrations are Royal College, D.S.Senanayake College, Mahanama Vidyalaya, Vishaka Vidyalaya, Ananda College, Nalanda College in Colombo and Yasodara Balika Vidyalaya, Borella. Education Ministry’s Additional Secretary (Education Development) W.Dharmadasa said another four schools namely Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Borella, Devi Balika Vidyalaya, President’s College, Rajagiriya and C.W.M.
